Dr Iyer’s Animal Shelter is situated at Dalonda, Thane and caters to 100+ animals. All the animals over here are rescued (some from slaughterhouses) and include dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, ducks, turkeys and hens.

Dr Shyamraj Iyer, a homoeopathic doctor by profession, has been independently and singlehandedly caring for these animals for the past 18 years. Even today he is still the only one who looks after the animals at the shelter and lives alone without any other full-time assistance. The animals are vulnerable to being picked up by locals who have even at times tried to poison them. This happens because the boundary walls aren’t secured with any fences. The goal of this fundraising campaign is to help address the multiple challenges Iyer Ji is currently facing.

We seek to raise funds directly to Iyer Ji’s account for urgent developmental costs and also to support him on a monthly basis for food, medicines and other supplies. Details for which are mentioned at 03:17 in the video.

He's the founder of Flexible Fitness and vegan since 4+ years.
